About

Ruth Grindrod

I am a landscape photographer currently living in Norfolk, East Anglia. My work takes me to a variety of locations and my real passion is for coastal photography. I  started taking photographs many years ago but work intruded upon this. In those days I shot film and processed mono images. I now shoot digitally and process using ACR and Photoshop CC. I love being out in the varied landscapes despite the harsh conditions that the weather in the UK and further afield can throw at you. I want to use my camera as a means of exploration but also as a tool to record fine images which detail and reflect the ever-changing landscape. I find the solitude of being in some remote regions both calming and inspiring. Today, photography has never been so popular. Millions of photos are captured everyday, particularly on mobile phones. Some think that the art of photography may be dying because of this. I hope my photographs show that photography is about engaging with the landscape, feeling it and reflecting this in the image that is captured. My style is diverse  and you will not find any gallery the same as the next.  Producing a good print is the ultimate aim for any photographer. I aim to do this regularly. My prints are for sale and all enquiries are welcome. Prints can be almost any size and on a variety of papers.
